We need volunteers!

The Performing Arts BC Provincial Festival is coming to Prince George! It will take place from June 1 to 6, 2026.

We need your help! The Speech Arts and Drama venue is looking for volunteers.

Time commitments will be from 3.5 – 4 hours.

Performances will be held at Theatre Northwest located on North Nechako Road. Over the course of four days we will need several Adjudicator Secretaries and Check-In Door Secretaries.

If you can spare some time to help, it would be greatly appreciated. Even just a few hours can make a big difference to the success of this event.

See below for details on the volunteer positions.

Adjudicator Secretary

· Receive texts (books) and typed copies from competitors on behalf of the adjudicator

· Using a timer, time the total performance time when the competitor begins and ends all their performances

· Complete provided certificates for the Winner, Runner Up and Honourable Mention

· Complete the form indicating the performer who will represent the discipline at a performance concert

Door Secretary

· Greet competitors as they arrive at the venue

· Check that performers have registered and check name tags against a provided list

· Control the entry of the performance space while competitors are performing or the adjudicator is talking

· Collect admission from audience members

The purposes of the Northern Voices Speech & Dramatic Arts Festival Society are to produce an annual Speech & Dramatic Arts Festival for the purposes of educating and advancing the public’s understanding and appreciation of fine literature and the performing arts, and to educate artists through participation in such festivals and related workshops.  To undertake activities ancillary and incidental to the above-mentioned charitable purpose.
